Colosseum

Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it is the most famous Roman amphitheater. Capable of holding up to 50,000 spectators, it was used for gladiatorial shows and other public events.

Fontana di Trevi

The Fontana di Trevi is the largest and one of the best-known fountains in Rome, unanimously considered one of the most famous fountains in the world. A famous tradition has it that it is good luck to throw a coin into the fountain by turning your back on it, as this will surely take you back to the city. The coins, collected daily, are allocated by the City of Rome to charitable works.

Piazza di Spagna

Piazza di Spagna, with the Trinità dei Monti Steps, is one of the most famous squares in Rome. The monumental staircase of 135 steps was inaugurated by Pope Benedict XIII on the occasion of the Jubilee of 1725; it was built to connect the Spanish Borboni embassy (after which the square was named) to the church of Trinità dei Monti.

Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore

The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, also known as Santa Maria della neve or as the Liberian Basilica (named after the traditional founder, Pope Liberius), is one of the four patriarchal basilicas of Rome. It was erected by Pope Sixtus III between 432 and 440.

Via dei Condotti is one of Rome’s most famous and beautiful streets, one of the arteries leading up from Via del Corso to Piazza di Spagna. Today it is one of the streets of luxury stores: the biggest names in clothing, leather goods and jewelry own a boutique on this street.
